Last sunday took place the 84th Academy Awards, filled with light, color, celebrities, prizes and, of course, fashion!

Best Makeup 2012: The Iron Lady – Mark Coulier and J. Roy Helland
I have nothing against this choice, but…
…watching the other nominees, I think that it was a bit unfair.
I saw comments in other blogs saying that Harry Potter had almost just computer effects than makeup, but if so, the academy wouldn’t have chosen it as one of the nominees. Moreover, making all that makeup on lot of people, in every shooting day is a very hard and exhaustive work.

Best Costume Design: The Artist – Mark Bridges
It’s obvious that a good movie needs to have a good choice of its clothes. That’s what happens in The Artist.
Simply and classic clothes, which give even more beauty to the movie.
However, I also want to highlight another movie which hadn’t won but also has an awesome costume design: Anonymous!
Just like the movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age (which I described in the 1st post of this blog), Anonymous have a complex and “rich” costume design, portraying very well the Elizabethan style of the 16th/17th centuries.
It wasn’t an easy task and Lisy Christl did it pretty well.
